Tournament rules...
all divisions 12 and under...(These rules may be
updated later in the week.)
6 innings, 1 hour 55 minute no new inning time
limit. Extra innings
will be played if time allows under time limit. No infield practice or
hitting balls into chain link fence. 10 run mercy rule after 4 innings. Slide
or avoid major contact. Two out courtesy runner for the Catcher or Pitcher. Pitcher
may throw total of 8 innings over two days. All
teams must keep a pitching chart with all innings pitched for all of their pitchers.
Home team is official scorekeeper and must report final score to tournament hotline
message center at 714-993-2838. Tournament uses rules of High School Federation
rules, with the option to use a EH and or bat the roster. Each team must provide
two games per game. Tournament director can update the rules, make any judgement
on penalty for ejections or change the schedule as needed at any time. Teams may
start game with as few as 7 players. No protests are allowed.
No metal cleats allowed in 12u divisions unless both teams playing agree to them.
A starter may re-enter once in the same spot in the batting order. Playoff seedings
will be determined as follows:
1. Best record. If still tied then:
2. Head to head. (Not used if all teams tied did not play each other or
all
beat each other) If still tied then:
3. Least runs allowed. If still tied
then:
4. Highest run differential. (Max 8 per game) If still tied then:
5. Coin flip.

RULE ALL OTHER RULES NOT COVERED.
Winner of the coin flip has choice of being home or visitor, and choice of dugout,
exception being complex host team may occupy dugout of choice.
